Winter vacationing in Egypt
When you spend your winter vacation in Egypt, you will be staying in a country that speaks to the imagination like no other country does.
Egypt used to be known for it’s pyramids and mummies, but nowadays it’s becoming a well loved wintering area for Europeans.
Egypt has it’s desert climate, resulting in extremely hot summers, but incredibly mild winters, to thank for this. Furthermore Egypt only has a minimal amount of rainy days a year.
The biggest part of the Egyptian people lives near the fruitful vicinity of the Nile; also called ‘Egypt’s lifeline’. This area encloses only 5,5% of Egypt’s surface, yet most of it’s population lives here. Therefore the largest cities, like Cairo and Alexandria are located here. The largest parts of the country are more or less deserted and covered by the Sahara desert.
Egypt has a rich history. Visiting pyramids and sphinxes while riding the back of a camel, like the old Egyptians did, is a must do during your winter holiday.
But if you’d rather spend your winter break in a more relaxing manner, Egypt will be a perfect destination as well, with it’s many apartments along the shore of the Red Sea, where you can stroll along the boulevard and have a refreshment in one of the many restaurants.
