Description:
Quinta Dimalago was designed by a architecture design ensemble Studio ArTe (www.studioarte.info) and the construction was completed in 2001, but yearly valuable changes can be found to improve your comfort. The ambience created is rather special, very Portuguese and blended with Moroccan touches. The Quinta has a living space of approx. 220 m2, divided over 2 floors and is located on the hill side of Canine, the northern part of Silves town. This area is known for its orange orchards and is close to the Moorish Castle.
 
Quinta Dimalago is situated on a private property of approx. 6 hectares and has a spectacular views on the (illuminated) castle of Silves. The view at night on the castle is like looking back into ancient times. The Quinta itself is uniquely furnished and has a special Portuguese / Mediterranean – Moroccan ambient but even so elements of vintage James Bond movies can be found back in the styling, all integrated with nowadays modern comforts The Quinta is mentioned as a 5 star villa
 
The Quinta:

• Ground-floor, the main living-room with an open fireplace, has a seating area for 12 pers. Sat. Tv- LG plasma screen - fax/ telephone- computer connection-email-address, complete stereo. Free wifi connection. This living room is well decorated with new furniture, pieces of art and antiques.
• The spacious dining- kitchen is well equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, prof. cooker. The dining-area has an open-fireplace and oversees the garden / veranda. Next to the veranda a barbecue area is available.
• In the main hall an extra toilet is situated.

• Three master bedrooms with private bathrooms (shower, washbasin, toilet) several cabinets
• Safe / locker with private code

• First floor 3 bedrooms with a spacious bathroom, a unique 2person bathtub, 2 washbasins, shower and toilet. This luxuriously equipped bathroom has central heating.

• Sufficient hot water supply.
• The house has central heating on gas and 2 open fires

• Very private location and a large colonial veranda & panoramic lounge

 
All mattresses and bed linen are fist class quality. Bath towels etc. are supplied, however for the beach you have to take your own!
 
In summer, as well as during winter periods the climate in the house is very comfortable, due to the special wooden roof construction in which cork insulation was used. The house has a natural air-circulation system, which can be regulated to suit your comfort.
 
Garden, terrace and swimming pool.
 
The roofed veranda has an area of approx. 50 square meters and is furnished with a beautiful teak lounge set and a dining set with a outdoor kitchen for wok cooking, barbecue and a large drink refrigerator. At the front of the veranda terrace you will find the panoramic lounge with spacious seating and superb views to the castle of Silves.
Near the swimming pond we have created a over roofed lounge with a gas fire pit for relaxing or just to get a shade. On this level the heated jacuzzi can be found,
 
. The pool and the tropical garden are located at the front of the house. The garden has been designed by Studio ArTe -Carolina König and was planted some years ago so you can now enjoy a full-grown tropical garden.

Pool size 11.50 meters by 4.30 meters
Pool bar fridges, Kindergarten, sun beds and shades
Swimming pond is approx. 250 square meters.
This pool has sweet water and is based on ecological use of water. For children it’s a great relieve to be able to swim the whole day in crystal clear water.
The water is kept clean with a natural filtering system and is under inspection of a local water-control office. During the season engineers test the water on a regular basis.
 
However:
Children are only allowed to swim when their parents or other adult persons guide them.
 
Silves surroundings:
 
Silves town is one of the oldest cities of the Algarve and is seen by many as one the most beautiful towns in the region. The distance to the cost is approx. 8-10 kilometres.
By car you will be at the beach within 15-20 minutes. Portugal’s most beautiful beaches can be found in this area.
In the borough of Silves town you will find beautiful landscapes, lakes, orange valleys, wild nature, and well-protected parks. The barragem (artificial lake) offers opportunities for watersport etc.
In short, your holiday in Silves town is one you will never forget, lovely climate, authentic and still very relaxed, nearby the cost and golfcourses.

Directions from Faro Airport:
Follow the IP1 to Lisboa-Portimao

• Follow on the main highway Portimao – Silves
• At the end of the highway follow Silves
• At Silves town, cross over the river, turn right after the traffic light
• At the turnpike (Cruz the Portugal), take the third exit directed to the cemetery.(cemeterio)
• Keep the cemetery on your right hand side and (1st road) go to the right
• At the T-crossing go to the right again
• After 500 meters turn left, just over the small irrigation channel/ bridge
• Follow the country road and after 800 meters you will find Dimalago on the left side of the road.
• Park your car at the back of the house.
