The Antilles
The Antilles , a bit of “Holland” in the Caribbean Sea, with an authentic Caribbean atmosphere.
It has a tropical climate with an average yearly temperature of 28 degrees Celsius and mostly with a wonderful breeze that makes it all very pleasant and even if it does rain that usually happens during the night or in the early morning. A wonderful place to vacation during the winter, whether it’s for six weeks or 4 months.
Landscape-wise the Antilles offers a mix of flat coastal area, rocky and hilly areas. The Dividivi tree and the usually meter tall cacti give the country a South American flavor.
The kilometers of long, breathtakingly beautiful white sand beaches on the magnificent blue-green ocean give a permanent feeling of being on vacation. Luxurious hotels and restaurants are interchanged with intimate and authentic spots, there’s something for everyone.
Enjoying the Antilles means enjoying colors, smells, the sun, the sea and the people. Winter vacationing in the Antilles means winter vacationing in another world with many possibilities such as; diving, snorkeling, sailing, fishing and surfing or shopping, going out, culture and a rich history, but also beautiful wildlife and calm places.
De Antillen
De Antillen , een stukje “Nederland” in de Caraïbische Zee, met de echte Caraïbische sfeer.
Er heerst een tropisch klimaat met een gemiddelde temperatuur door het jaar heen van zo’n 28 graden met meestal een heerlijk briesje dat het zeer aangenaam maakt, als het al regent is dat meestal in de nacht of vroege ochtend. Een plek bij uitstek om te overwinteren, of het nou voor zes weken is of voor 4 maanden.
Landschappelijk bieden de Antillen een mix van vlak kustgebied, rotsachtige en heuvelachtige streken. De Dividivi boom en vaak metershoge cactussen geven een Zuid Amerikaans tintje aan het land.
Kilometers lange adembenemend mooie witte stranden aan de schitterend blauw/groene zee zorgen voor een permanent vakantiegevoel. Luxueuze hotels en restaurants worden afgewisseld met intieme en authentieke plekjes, voor elk wat wils.
Genieten van de Antillen betekent genieten van kleuren, geuren, de zon, de zee en de mensen.
Overwinteren op de Antillen is dan ook overwinteren in een andere wereld met vele mogelijkheden als; duiken, snorkelen, zeilen, vissen en surfen of winkelen, uitgaan, cultuur en een rijke historie maar ook mooie natuur en rustige plekken.
De Antillen , maar 9 uur vliegen vanuit Nederland met een tijdsverschil van 5 uur, meer dan de moeite waard.
